Summer Monsoon and Clean Windows

Some clients will state that they do not want their windows cleaned because the rain will just make them dirty again during the rainy season, is this really a fact?

The three major things that cause windows to become dirty are:

1) Pollen

2) Insect droppings and nest building

3) Dust

If these are present on the glass when it rains, the rain simply attaches itself to the dirt and often makes the windows even look worse.

However if the windows had been clean, then the rain would simply sheet off the clean glass and they would continue to remains clean.

In fact, your windows will stay cleaner longer during the rainy season.
Some people realize that rain acts as an air purifier. Rain water acts like a giant negative ion generator that remove the dust, pollen and other airborne debris from the air that is magnetically attracted to the static charge often held by glass windows. When these particulates are conjoined by the army of flying insects attempting to invade or escape your abode, what you’re left with is a foggy gloomy mess. The little known secret is there’s a lot less dust, pollen and insect traffic happening right now than during the sunny days of late spring and summer. Which means that getting your windows washed now equals a big smart savings move. Your windows will stay cleaner weeks longer than if you wait. That equals a smart investment and the added light in your home will raise your seasonally affected spirits and offer new inspiration on your resolve.

The Profession

Professional window cleaning requires mastery of special techniques. A window cleaner lacking in experience or training can take considerably longer to complete a project and the work may be lower quality. Moreover, the use of proper window cleaning tools results in a better clean than home methods such as rubbing windows with newspaper or a wet rag. Rubbing a pane of glass with a cloth can result in 'stroke' marks that are visible in sunlight due to the residue left behind.

Window Screen Cleaning

Window screens are wonderful because they allow you to have fresh air and sunlight without the annoyance of insects and other unwanted visitors in your home. Dirty screens become weak and damage easily. It’s always cheaper to clean your screens than it is to replace them, so keep that in mind before putting it off another year.

Cleaning window screens is one of those chores we can put off because it’s easy to ignore, and let’s face it, we tend to let screens go up to a year without being cleaned. But there comes a time when the dirt and grime can no longer go unnoticed, and we have to take them down and clean them. Dirt, dead bugs, tree sap and other tree debris can become lodged between the screen and frame, or just in the screen weave itself. When it becomes difficult to see through the screen, even with the window open you know you’ve waited too long and the inevitable cleaning must be done.

Benefits of Sunscreens

If you are looking for a way to cut out some of the heat that comes into your home though your windows sunscreens are often the least expensive window-shading option that preserves a view through the window. Sunscreen fabric is stretched over an aluminum frame like an insect screen. But the screening is a fabric that absorbs 65% to 70% of solar heat before it enters the home. Most of that heat is released to the outdoor air and never enters the home.

Sunscreens reduce the solar heating of insulated glass units, which tend to fail on the sunny sides of many homes. Sunscreens also slow down solar damage to drapes and indoor furnishings. Many homeowners have used sunscreens to enclose porches and carports, creating a cool zone against the walls on the home’s sunny side
It's like having a shade tree in front of your window without blocking the view. Exterior shading is the most effective way to block solar heat gain.

With a SunScreen, you can reduce your electricity bills without having to do any major construction! Let us make your home more energy efficient! Call today for a free estimate!
